One of the most common questions new clients ask me before their first application is, “How soon before we can expect the ticks to be gone?” While there are many factors that play into how quickly the ticks are affected by the treatment, it’s accurate to say that the results are usually almost immediate. Ticks that are immediately hit with the product will reach death very quickly, usually in minutes. Ticks that later find their way into contact with the product will fall victim shortly after. To demonstrate the effectiveness of a treatment, I made the following video to show a live tick being subjected to the exact mix ratio that I use on each application. It’s a time-condensed video, with a real-time clock, that shows the rapid progression from contact to death. In this case, immobilization began in seconds, and death occurred in under 10 minutes.
